Inter executives are keeping an eye on transfer targets who have contracts expiring in 2023 such as Fabian Ruiz and Robin Gosens, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Sporting CEO Beppe Marotta is not only focusing on the free transfer market right now.

He is also thinking of players who by the summer may only have one year left on their current contracts and therefore could be available for a cheaper than average transfer fee.

The players that interest the Nerazzurri who are in this position include Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz, Atalanta wing back Robin Gosens, as well as Lyon’s Houssem Aouar, Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram, and Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans.

All of these players would likely cost too much for Inter to purchase but when there is one year left on a player’s contract, it gives the buying club more power.
