Inter could be forced to wait until late in February before they can play the fixture against Bologna that will not be played today due to Covid-19 cases, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is very little space available in Inter’s calendar to accommodate a postponed fixture but the Bologna team have been placed into quarantine by the local health authority.

Inter are expected to arrive at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara and warm up but the match will not be played, noted down as a forfeit from Bologna.

Due to the fact that Inter will have Coppa Italia fixtures as well as their two Round of 16 Champions League fixtures, the game against Bologna might not be played until February 22-23.

This is subject to change should Italian teams be knocked out of European competition or if Inter lose in the Coppa Italia.
