Italian journalist Paolo Condo has criticised the Covid-19 situation that Inter has found itself in having travelled to Bologna on Thursday, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking whilst on the Calciomercato Original show on Sky Sport, via FCInternews, Paolo Condo expressed his dislike of the fact that Inter travelled to Bologna just for a game that clearly isn’t happening.

“Starting from the premise that the matches will still go to recover, Inter go to Bologna just to appeal with the referee, I think it is nonsense.”

Inter were set to play Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Thursday lunchtime but it soon became clear that the Rossblu has too many positive Covid-19 cases and have been ordered not to play by the local health authority.

Serie A has ignored that and allowed Inter to travel down to Bologna as if the match is happening even though it is not.

It is not yet clear when the game will be rescheduled to but it could be late February.
