Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi may be injured for the Biancocelesti’s clash with Inter on Sunday after being taken off against Empoli, according to a report in the Italian media today.
As has been reported by FCInternews today, the Italian defender who is central to Lazio’s defensive plans pulled up during the match against Empoli on Thursday with a muscle problem in his left thigh.
In the 24th minute of the match in the Stadio Olimpico he was replaced by Patric. His condition will be evaluated in the next few hours to see the extent of the injury but there is a very real chance he will be missing from San Siro on Sunday night.
Lazio are one of the few squads in Italy right now that does not have any positive Covid-19 cases within the team although that could change by the time they play Inter at the end of the week.
