Croatian midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is expected to complete the final steps in signing his new Inter deal when president Steven Zhang returns to Milan in the coming days, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, the president of the club is due back in Milan very soon following his trip to the USA that was widely reported to involve meetings with potential buyers of the club.

Marcelo Brozovic has been in a long-running contract negotiation with the club as he is a key player whose current deal will expire in June 2022.

Whilst at teams it seemed that his wage demands may prove to be too high for the Nerazzurri to meet, his desire to remain at the club and in Milan seems set to be the overwhelming factor.

Steven Zhang is expected to finalise the agreement with the player once in Milan.
