Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu will miss out on the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Lazio on Sunday unless the missed match against Bologna is declared to have a 3-0 result.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 27-year-old will serve his suspension over the weekend in place of the Bologna clash should it be postponed.

Calhanoglu picked up a suspension through an accumulation of yellow cards when he went into the book in the Nerazzurri’s last match before the winter break, against Torino.

The Turk had expected that he would be ruled out of the away to trip to Bologna through the suspension, but the situation is up in the air after the Rossoblu were not able to show up for the fixture.

Should the Sporting Judge award the Nerazzurri a 3-0 win for a forfeiture Bologna, then this will be considered to be the match in which the midfielder served his suspension.

However, if the authority decides that the Rossoblu clash is to be postponed, then the clash with the Bianconcelesti over the weekend will be the next match from the Torino one, and he match in which Calhanoglu serves his suspension.
