Inter have identified Borussia Monchengladbach as one of their main options to replace Ivan Perisic next summer.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Nerazzurri are stepping up their pursuit of the Algerian in view of the possibility of Perisic departing in June at the end of his contract.

Inter are currently working to extend Perisic’s contract, but up to this point there is still significant distance between the parties before a new deal can be agreed.

Should the club fail to extend the 32-year-old’s contract past the end of June when it currently expires, they will look to be prepared by having a suitable replacement in mind.

Bensebaini is a player whose form in the Bundesliga has put him into the Nerazzurri’s consideration, and he looks to be one of the main targets to arrive next summer should Perisic be on his way out.
