Inter defender Stefan de Vrij has sued the talent agency that represented him prior to his current agent Mino Raiola for €22 million.

This according to today’s print edition of Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, who report that the 29-year-old has sued the Sports Entertainment Group over a clause in his move from Lazio to Inter in the summer of 2018.

De Vrij made the switch to the Nerazzurri on a five-year deal in 2018, and he and his lawyers are arguing that the Sports Entertainment Group inserted a clause in the deal which saw them earn €7.5 million if his total net wages were under €50 million.

The Dutchman’s total earnings on his Inter contract signed in 2018 come to €37.5 million, and he is seeking €22 million as this is the difference between the total amount which he and his lawyers feel he could have earned, and the amount which his former agents agreed to.

The case will be heard by a court in Amsterdam starting in February.
