Inter President Steven Zhang is set to announce the contract extension of midfielder Marcelo Brozovic personally when he is in Milan over the next few days.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the midfielder’s renewal will be one of the key issues that the President wraps up when he visits.

Zhang has been in Los Angeles for the past week or so, but he is planning to arrive in Milan within the next couple of days.

The President will be in the city for the Supercoppa Italiana clash with Juventus on Wednesday, and also intends to deal with some key matters at the club.

Finalizing the bond at the club to around €400 million with a new period of maturity in 2027 will be one of the main items on Zhang’s agenda, while he will also extend the contracts of key directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio.

The President will also speaking to the club’s directors and to head coach Simone Inzaghi personally about the transfer market, both in terms of possible interventions this month and the club’s plans for the summer window.

One of the main situations that Zhang will hope to have all wrapped up is extending the deal of Brozovic, with the key midfielder currently seeing his contract run out at the end of June.

Inter have been working towards agreeing an extension for a couple months, and are now close enough that Zhang should be able to personally announce that a new deal has been signed.
