Inter are set to meet with the agent of River Plate striker Julian Alvarez in the coming days about a possible move to the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 21-year-old’s agent Fernando Hidalgo will meet with the Nerazzurri and also AC Milan, Manchester United, and Monaco.

Alvarez’s form for River has marked him out as a major target for a number of major European clubs, with the Nerazzurri being one of his main suitors.

The young striker has a release clause in his contract worth €20 million, although it remains to be seen if Inter will be ready to outlay this amount to secure his signing given financial restrictions at the club.

Hidalgo will soon be in Milan to meet with the club about the possibility of a move, where he will also meet with AC Milan, although the Nerazzurri currently look to be favourites over the Rossoneri to sign the Argentine.

Meanwhile, the agent is also expected to hold talks with both Manchester United and Monaco about a possible move for the striker.
