It still remains to be seen if Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci will be available when Inter face the Biancocelesti in the Supercoppa Italiana on Wednesday.

Biancocelesti head coach Max Allegri explained in a press conference after his side’s draw with Napoli yesterday, as as repoted by FCInterNews, that it still remains to be seen whether the 34-year-old will be fit in time for the clash.

Bonucci has been out for a few days with a thigh injury, having missed out on the draw against the Partenopei while also being expected to be out for the Bianconeri’s match against Roma on Sunday.

The issue is not a long-term one, and the defender could return to action in time to face Inter when the two sides meet in the Supercoppa on the twelfth.

However, as of yet this is not known and will only become clearer in the coming days as he completes his recovery, with Allegri stating that “I don’t know if he’ll recover” in time for the Supercoppa match.
