Lazio attacker Felipe Anderson has said that his team must concentrate when they face Inter at San Siro on Sunday, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Whilst speaking to Lazio Style Radio, via FCInternews, the Brazilian forward who used to play in the Premier League was clearly weary of the talent that Inter has to offer when the two teams face each other at San Siro on Sunday night.

“We must always think as a team, we must give everything for the collective. Every match in Serie A must be faced with the right mentality. Against Inter we must concentrate because it will be a very difficult match. Let’s go there and play it.”

Lazio had a disappointing result to kick off 2022 as they drew 3-3 at home to Empoli in the Stadio Olimpico. That is a game they will have hoped to take all three points from in order to kickstart their attempts at climbing up the table towards the Champions League places.

Speaking about that match, it was clear that Felipe Anderson was not happy with the way the team performed or the result.

“We are so sorry because we entered the field and conceded two goals. We had to chase right away, it wasn’t easy because the way of interpreting the game also changes compared to how we prepared.

“However, we did not give up, we fought by winning a point altogether. On the occasion of the crossbar, I’m sorry because it was an important moment in the game. Now let’s look ahead.”

The match against Inter kicks off at 20:45 local time.
