Bologna are ready to join the race for Inter-linked Genoa striker Felipe Caicedo, who they see as a backup option to Marko Arnautovic for the second half of the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Rossoblu are weighing up a move for the 33-year-old.

Caicedo joined Genoa from Lazio during the summer, but the Ecuadorian has not found much playing time with the Ligurian club this season and looks to be on his way out during the January window.

Inter are among the clubs considering signing the striker as they look to reinforce their attacking depth, having also been linked with a move for him during the summer.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi worked successfully with Caicedo for four seasons while in charge of the Biancocelesti and would appreciate a reunion with him.

However, Bologna also look to be serious in their interest, and could move for the striker ahead of the Nerazzurri.
