Inter are close to agreeing a new deal with Marcelo Brozovic and could get his contract extension wrapped up in the next couple weeks.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the presence of President Steven Zhang in Milan is further speeding up the process with the midfielder.

Talks have been progressing quickly with Brozovic and his representatives over the past couple months, with all parties hoping to find an agreement on a renewal.

Now an agreement looks to be close at hand, with the Croat set to sign a four-year deal that sees him earn around €6 million net per season plus add-ons in order to commit his future to the Nerazzurri.

Zhang is in Milan attending to a number of important matters at the club, and Brozovic’s contract is currently the priority renewal, so the club could get the agreement over the line well before the end of January.
