Inter midfielder Matias Vecino has turned down an offer from Brazilian giants Flamengo for the January transfer window.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the likeliest possibility for the 30-year-old currently looks to be staying at Inter for the rest of the season.
Vecino has been linked with a move away from the Nerazzurri during the January transfer window, with the Uruguayan having spoken about being unhappy with his relative lack of playing time during the first half of the campaign.
A number of clubs have come forward with an interest in the 30-year-old, and Flamengo look to be the most serious about trying to sign the former Empoli and Fiorentina midfielder.
However, Vecino has indicated that he has no interest in making the switch to the Brazilian side this month, and it currently appears that he will see out his contract at Inter.
