Inter striker Edin Dzeko will be part of the squad to face Lazio tomorrow evening in Serie A after being given full medical clearance.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the club’s medical team has determined that the 35-year-old has made a full recovery after having tested positive for COVID a few days ago.

Dzeko was one of three players in Inter’s squad to have tested positive for the virus upon returning to training from their winter holidays, alongside goalkeeper Alex Cordaz and striker Martin Satriano.

The Bosnian had been self-isolating in his home for the past several days, but yesterday tested negative for the virus.

Today another negative test was returned for the striker, who also underwent a full post-virus examination with the Nerazzurri’s medical staff, and he has been cleared to resume training in view of tomorrow’s match.

It remains to be seen whether Simone Inzaghi decides to call upon Dzeko for the match or not.
