Inter have taken significant strides forward since the last time they faced Lazio in Serie A, losing 3-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who note that the Nerazzurri have gone undefeated and dropped only four points in the eleven Serie A matches since that defeat.

Inter are preparing to host the Biancocelesti tomorrow, and a win would be their eighth in a row in the Italian top flight.

The loss at the Stadio Olimpico in October was Inter’s only one this campaign, and saw the team looking their shakiest, raising significant doubts about their Scudetto defense especially in view of the form of AC Milan and Napoli.

However, Simone Inzaghi has steadied his team and gotten them in some of their best form of the campaign all through the matches that have taken place since.

Draws against Juventus and in the derby against Milan have been the only blemishes on the Nerazzurri’s record as they’ve surged to the top of the Serie A table since their defeat at the hands of Lazio.

Inzaghi will hope that in his second match up against his former team, his side can continue to show this consolidated form.
