Messina CEO Pietro Lo Monaco does not think that Inter will bring in any major signings during the January transfer window.

Speaking to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, Lo Monaco gave the view that the Nerazzurri will more than likely have a quiet window this month.

The Nerazzurri could yet intervene in the transfer market this month, especially if players are sold or leave on loan during the window, but so far they do not look poised to make any major additions to the squad.

The team has looked solid over the first half of the season, with both the squad depth and the quality of the players appearing sufficient for head coach Simone Inzaghi’s needs.

Moreover, the focus looks to be more on the future, with renewals of key players’ contracts as well as signings for the summer the priority during a January transfer window in which Inter could pass up the opportunity to make any big signings.

“I don’t expect Inter to make any major signings,” Lo Monaco stated, “and the same for Milan who may just make minor adjustments. Napoli I think could make an Anguissa-type signing.”
