Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi feels that his team will have a chance to show their improvements since they lost to Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico earlier in the season when they face the Biancocelesti again this evening.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN ahead of the match, the coach emphasized that his team have found themselves getting more confident and consistent since that match, their only loss of the campaign.

Inter took the lead early on at the Stadio Olimpico, but a second half comeback by the Biancocelesti saw them head back to Milan empty-handed.

In the matches that they’ve played since, Inzaghi’s men have dropped only four points out of thirty-three available, and they will hope that they can keep this form up as they return from the break with the return fixture against Lazio.

Of the last match against this evening’s opposition, Inzaghi stated that”Each match is a story unto itself. In the last match we did very well for 65 minutes, then we conceded a penalty which changed the game.”

“Since that day, many things have changed, three months have passed, we have improved a lot, but we know that we are facing a team with great quality so we will have to be at our best,” he went on.

On the threat of Biancocelesti midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic he stated that “Milinkovic is a great player who I’m very familiar with.”

“He will be someone to keep an eye on, as with many other players,” the coach added, “because Lazio are a tough team with many excellent players.”
