Italisn journalist Gianluca Di Marzio believes that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has done a good job of integrating everyone in the squad into the performances.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia after Inter’s win over Lazio, Di Marzio praised the way that Inzaghi has created a good atmosphere in the Nerazzurri’s dressing room.

Inter have a large squad with quality all over the pitch, and so far there have been far more than just a few trusted players in the starting eleven who have been important.

Against the Biancocelesti, Roberto Gagliardini and Alexis Sanchez put in good shifts to help the team secure three points, while Alessandro Bastoni joined the growing list of scorers.

Di Marzio is impressed with how the coach has managed to draw top-quality contributions from all through his squad over the season.

“Max Allegri and Simone Inzaghi were the two names considered to replace Conte,” he said of the Nerazzurri’s decision to appoint Inzaghi over the summer.

“The former was of interest to Real, but he committed himself to Juve,” he went on. “Inzaghi turned out to have the right attributes though.”

“Inter pushed hard to convince Simone on the day that he had an appointment to renew with Lazio,” he continued. “He had a verbal agreement with Lotito during the day, but that evening he realized that he had an opportunity in front of him that couldn’t be refused.”

“He called Lotito and said that he was going to Inter,” Di Marzio explained. “It all happened in 24 or 48 hours.”

He highlighted Inzaghi’s strength as “Using all the resources he has in the team, look at Sanchez today.”

“Even those players who don’t play regularly manage to perform,” he explained, “everyone feels important, even those who barely play do well, for example D’Ambrosio and Ranocchia.”
