Inter captain Samir Handanovic was not at fault for the goal conceded against Lazio yesterday evening, according to Italian media.

The 37-year-old was given a 6/10 score for his performance against the Biancocelesti in the player ratings for the match in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport.

The newspaper instead lay the blame for the goal on defender Stefan de Vrij, who allowed the bouncing ball to run through to force his keeper into an awkward decision, where Biancocelesti striker Ciro Immobile got to it first and had an easy finish.

De Vrij is given a grade of 5.5/10 for his display by Tuttosport, while his two defensive partners Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni received grades of 7/10 and 7.5/10 respectively for their solid displays and decisive goals.

Meanwhile, Marcelo Brozovic was named as the Nerazzurri’s key midfielder in the match after yet another steady display, earning a 7/10 score for his performance from the newspaper.
