Inter President Steven Zhang gave the team his congratulations after their Serie A win over Lazio yesterday evening.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the President appeared in the locker room after the match to compliment the performance that the Nerazzurri put in.
Zhang has been in Milan for the past couple days now, and the President was able to be at the San Siro as a spectator for the Nerazzurri’s win over the Biancocelesti, his first Serie A match of the season.
The President was able to watch his team get their eighth win in a row in the Italian top flight, to go back to the top of the table after city rivals AC Milan temporarily overtook them with a win over Venezia earlier in the day.
He joked to the team after the back-and-forth match, “I don’t remember suffering through it so much!”
