Defender Alessandro Bastoni and midfielder Roberto Gagliardini were Inter’s key men in yesterday’s Serie A win over Lazio, according to Italian media.

The duo received grades of 8/10 and 7/10 respectively in the player ratings for the match in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Bastoni scored the Nerazzurri’s opener with a drilled long-range effort into the bottom left corner, while he was also highly effective both in possession and defensively.

Meanwhile, Gagliardini put in a solid shift in midfield where he was able to effectively counteract the influence of Biancocelesti midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The newspaper also highlight the displays by Marcelo Brozovic, Ivan Perisic, and Alexis Sanchez with 7/10 scores, and award the same grade to coach Simone Inzaghi for how he set his team up without the suspended Hakan Calhanoglu.

For the Corriere, the two worst players on the night for Inter were captain Samir Handanovic and defender Stefan de Vrij, who received grades of 5/10 and 5.5/10 respectively, with their role in Lazio’s goal particularly highlighted.
