Inter wing-back Ivan Perisic is still considering whether to extend his contract beyond next summer, and he is waiting to see whether the project is ambitious.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Croat’s priority in deciding whether to stay on at the club is to be an important part of a team competing for trophies.

Perisic’s current deal is set to run out at the end of June, and so far he still looks to be some way from agreeing on a renewal with the Nerazzurri with the club’s offer far from his initial demands.

However, according to FCInterNews, the 32-year-old is not preoccupied with his contract situation at the moment and is mainly focused on the pitch, where he has been a key piece in a Nerazurri side in good form.

According to the report, Perisic will begin to shift his attention to his future starting in February, and he is waiting to see whether the club is ready to keep showing ambition, and also that he is expecting an offer which reflects his status as an important player at the club.
