Former Inter midfielder Borja Valero believes that in their current state, the Nerazzurri are capable of scoring in every way.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, the 36-year-old praised this Inter team for being able to find the back of the net in a variety of different ways and find solutions to every kind of defensive setup.

Inter have tended to dominate possession against most opponents this season, and they have also shown the ability to control the tempo of matches, being methodical or more incisive at will.

The attackers have gotten on the scoresheet regularly, but so have the wing-backs, midfielders, and also defenders.

This Nerazzurri side have used crosses, quick counter-attacks, intricate passing sequences, and set pieces to find their way to goal, and this versatility in attack has been a key reason why theirs is the most prolific attack in Serie A so far in the campaign.

“When you’re as good as Inter are in all phases of the game, including set pieces, it’s no surprise that you are top of the table,” Valero stated.

“Inter are scoring every kind of goal,” he added, “it is extraordinary what they are doing.”

He also stated that “They certainly also get an edge from knowing that they’re champions, and wanting to defend that.”
