Inter look set to miss out on target Lucas Digne this month, with Everton having agreed on the fee for a deal to sell him to Aston Villa.

This according to UK broadcaster Sky Sports, who report that the two Premier League sides have settled on a deal worth around €30 million to seal the 28-year-old’s transfer to the Birmingham-based club.

Digne had emerged as one of the Nerazzurri’s main targets to back up Ivan Perisic with a left-sided signing during the January transfer window, with the Frenchman having fallen out with Toffees boss Rafa Benitez, though he could only have arrived on loan this month.

The Nerazzurri faced significance competition from a number of Premier League clubs for the former PSG, Roma, and Barcelona man, with the likes of West Ham United, Chelsea, and Newcastle United also interested in his signature, and in the end it looks to be Villa who have won the chase.
