Inter have identified Borussia Monchengladbach’s Ramy Bensebaini and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostic as their two main targets for a left-sided player to back up Ivan Perisic.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are working to sign the Bundesliga duo this month although so far have not been able to convince either club on a loan deal.

A deputy for Perisic is a priority for Inter during the January transfer window, with Aleksandar Kolarov possibly on his way out or even retiring from football while Federico Dimarco is mostly seen as a centre-back option.

The Nerazzurri would only be able to make a signing in this role on an initial loan deal, however, and not a permanent signing or a loan with a purchase obligation.

Bensebaini and Kostic are the two most serious considerations to back up Perisic for the rest of the season as well as take over from the 32-year-old in the longer term.
