Legendary former Inter defender Marco Materazzi is looking forward to this evening’s Supercoppa Italiana clash between Inter and Juventus because he feels it’s a unique, special fixture in Italian football.
The former defender posted on his Instagram account about the match, which for him will be an important one because it pits two of the great rivals of Italian football against one another.
Inter and Juventus have faced each other many times and have each established themselves as dominant forces in Serie A, in the Coppa Italia, and also in the Supercoppa over the years.
Now the two will resume their hostilities, having last faced each other in the league in October, in a contentious match which ended in a 1-1 draw.
Materazzi is looking forward to seeing the two major rivals square off once again, and he hopes that fans are also getting themselves prepared for a match with a lot of history behind it.
