Inter striker Edin Dzeko has won his first piece of silverware in Italy just a few months after joining Inter from AS Roma, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, two Inter players in particular will be the happiest with the Supercoppa Italiana victory over Juventus on Wednesday night at San Siro.

One of them is Edin Dzeko who has been playing in Italy since 2015 but up until Wednesday night, had never experienced lifting an Italian trophy.

He did not win anything with AS Roma but now that he has joined Inter he has already won the Supercoppa and could also lift the Serie A trophy in May.

Another player who will be thrilled is veteran goalkeeper Samir Handanovic who has spent many years at the club and has finally been able to lift the Supercoppa under the Curva Nord.
