Inter President Steven Zhang feels that Inter’s Supercoppa Italiana win over Juventus is the culmination of their hard work throughout the season so far.
Speaking to InterTV, the President emphasized that the players and coaching staff earned the triumph through their efforts training and building the team together.
The Nerazzurri have their hands on their first piece of silverware for the season, defeating their great rivals Juventus with a dramatic late strike by Alexis Sanchez right at the end of extra time.
The entire team looked elated in the moment as they celebrated the winner right when the match looked certain to head to a penalty shootout, but there was much more behind the moment than just 120 minutes of football.
As Zhang was keen to emphasize, the winner and the trophy were build on a foundation of hard work and determination by everyone involved at the club.
“The team played very well tonight,” he stated. “We are also top of the table in the league. This trophy is the fruit of the hard work done by the coach and the players.”
“This win gives us a lot of hope and energy for the future,” he added, “because of all the work we’ve done together over the years.”
Asked who he dedicated the victory to, Zhang responded “To all Inter fans, staff and directors. They are the ones who have made this project a reality.”
