Inter forward Alexis Sanchez may not be leaving the club as soon as expected after his recent upturn in form and involvement, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, the Chilean forward looked destined to leave the club in the January transfer window or the summer at the latest.

He has a salary that Inter would ideally not pay, and his involvement in the team was fleeting. Now he has registered three goals and an assist in his last five matches, three of which he started in.

The former Manchester United and Arsenal man is managing to rotate excellently with Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez which is exactly what Simone Inzaghi wanted from him. He has just turned 33-years-old and will be out of contract in 2023.

Inter could now be tempted to just keep him at the club playing this role until his contract ends.
