Inter target Mathias Ginter is all but certain to leave his current club Borussia Monchenglabach during the summer transfer window.

This according to Gladbach head coach Adi Hutter, who spoke about the 28-year-old’s situation in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews, and clarified that the club fully expect him to leave at the end of his contract in June.

Ginter has emerged as a major target for the Nerazzurri given that he is available on a free transfer at the end of his current deal with Gladbach, as he represents an option to strengthen the backline without having to outlay a transfer fee.

The German has already announced on social media that he is preparing to leave the Bundesliga side in search of a new challenge at the end of his deal, and further confirmation has come from his coach, who explained that the club are getting ready to move on from his departure.

“We have decided that we will not move forward together after the summer,” he stated. “Accordingly, I do not want to go into detail about how things will go in the future. The fact is that we have already invested in the future.”
