Legendary former Inter striker Christian Vieri feels that the recent form shown by Alexis Sanchez is nothing new, and that the Chilean has been a top player for his entire career.
Speaking on his Twitch channel, as reported by FCInterNews, Vieri emphasized that Sanchez has already shown his class at various clubs, and should always have been trusted to make an impact.
Sanchez had already established a strong reputation and won trophies in European football before he made the switch to Inter from Manchester United in the summer of 2019.
The 33-year-old had already made an impact in Serie A with Udinese where he earned a move to Barcelona, before making the switch to Arsenal and then United.
Vieri feels that his time with the Blaugranas in particular speaks volumes to the calibre of player that Sanchez is, given how strong the team was and how he established himself.
“We’ve been saying that Sanchez is world class or a year and a half,” he noted. “He played for a great Barcelona team a decade enough and this was more than enough to show his quality.”
“His only problem is injuries,” he added of the Chilean. “It was strange seeing him coming on just to play three minutes.”
