Former Inter defender Paolo Tramezzani expects Inter’s Serie A clash with Atalanta to be a significant match and to produce great entertainment.

Speaking to Bergamo-based newspaper Corriere di Bergamo in an interview published in today’s print edition, the 51-year-old emphasized the form that both teams find themselves in headed into tomorrow’s match.

Inter sit top of the table after carrying on their blistering form from November and December into the new year with a convincing win over Lazio, while La Dei beat Udinese 6-2 to show that they’re clicking into gear.

Their match at the Gewiss Stadium tomorrow will see two of the most formidable attacking sides in Serie A, and two of the teams from the top four, come up against one another.

Tramezzani is looking forward to a game high in tempo, intensity, and quality when the two teams face one another.

“Both are in excellent physical condition,” he emphasized, “and looking at the table they are both doing very well in the league.”

He went on that “If they are not yet at the top of their games, they are close to it. They each come into it on the back of two morale-boosting victories, Inter triumphed in the Supercoppa and Atalanta in the Coppa Italia.”

Tramezzani also named the players who he anticipates will be crucial in deciding the match, stating that “In my opinion, the players who will decide the game will be on one side Barella and on the other Pasalic, if he plays, Atalanta have multiple players who can play that role.”
