Inter could miss out on summer transfer target Robin Gosens, with the Atalanta wing-back being pursued by Newcastle United during the January transfer window.

This according to UK broadcaster Sky Sports, who report that the Tyneside club are targeting the German for a move during this month’s transfer window.

Gosens has been on the Nerazzurri’s radar for some time as one of their main considerations to replace Ivan Perisic on the left side of the team in the long term.

A successor Perisic is one of Inter’s major transfer priorities for the January window and especially for next summer, and they could step up their pursuit of the Atalanta man.

However, he may not be available come June, as Newcastle are interested in bringing him in having already signed the likes of Kieran Trippier this month in their bid to strengthen their squad in order to avoid relegation from the Permier League.
