Chelsea are looking to sign Inter wing-back during the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of UK tabloid The Mirror, who also claim that the Nerazzurri would be willing to listen to a significant offer for the 32-year-old in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer in June.

Perisic’s current contract is set to expire at the end of June, and it remains to be seen if the club can find an agreement with the Croat on an extension that will take him past the end of the season.

A number of clubs have an interest in signing Perisic on a free transfer during the summer transfer window, including Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, but fellow London club Chelsea are aiming for him this month.

The Blues are light in the left-sided position thanks to an injury to Ben Chilwell, and they could look to bring in Perisic to provide an option in the position alongside Marcos Alonso.
