Atalanta have recovered a number of key squad members from illness ahead of their Serie A clash with Inter this evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the likes of Berat Djimsit, Roberto Piccoli, Marco Sportiello, and Davide Zappacosta should return to La Dei’s squad.

As with Inter, La Dei had a few players ruled out after testing positive for COVID upon their return to training, namely Piccoli, Sportiello, and Zappacosta, who have missed the past couple matches.

However, it looks likely that the trio will test negative in today’s round of tests in preparation for the match, and that they will be available to coach Gian Piero Gasperini as he selects his team for the massive match.

Meanwhile, Djimsiti has returned from a bout of Tonsillitis, while the likes of Duvan Zapata, Robin Gosens, and Joakim Maehle will miss the match through injury.
