Inter’s squad is still experiencing some fatigue after Wednesday evening’s draining extra time win over Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that five players in particular have taken some time to recover from the clash.

Marcelo Brozovic, Nicolo Barella, Edin Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez, and Stefan de Vrij all reported some fatigue in the days after the Nerazzurri’s win over the Bianconeri, which went all the way to the 120-minute mark with the score level after ninety minutes.

The quintet did not take part in yesterday’s training match and instead rested, though all five should be fine to take place in today’s clash with Atalanta.

It remains to be seen how Inter coach Simone Inzaghi takes these fatigue into considerations when selecting his starting eleven and making substitutions.

In attack, Supercoppa match-winner Alexis Sanchez is likely to start against La Dei, while the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko are in contention to start alongside him.
