Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi Factoring Player Fatigue In Selecting His Team To Face Atalanta, Italian Media Report
Player fatigue could be an important consideration for Inter coach Simone Inzaghi as he decides on his starting eleven to face Atalanta in Serie A this evening.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the coach is still uncertain of how to factor in the fatigue of some players after Wednesday’s tiring Supercoppa Italiana win over Juventus.
A number of players did not participate in yesterday’s training match due to having still been recovering from their efforts in the Supercoppa, where it took extra time to get the better of the Bianconeri.
None of the players are injured, and they should be ready to appear against La Dei this evening, but Inzaghi could yet consider rotations as he contemplates his starting eleven and substitutions.
Alexis Sanchez looks set for a start in attack after his Supercoppa heroics, while Edin Dzeko could be the favourite to start alongside the Chilean given his physicality, while Matteo Darmian looks set to start ahead of Denzel Dumfries on the right.
