Inter are working to get a deal wrapped up to sign Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi ahead of a number of other top clubs in Italy.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the likes of Juventus, Roma, and AC Milan are all also interested in bringing Frattesi in but the Nerazzurri have made him a priority target and have a plan to secure his signing.

Frattesi’s form this season for the Neroverdi has attracted the interest of a number of clubs, with Inter seeing him as one of their main targets to bolster their midfield options, with Arturo Vidal and Matias Vecino expected to leave in the summer and Stefano Sensi’s future uncertain.

The 22-year-old would initially be brought in as a rotation option behind the first-choice midfielders, but he would be given the chance to grow into a starting spot.

The Nerazzurri face competition for Frattesi’s signature, but with the Rossoneri focused on bringing Tommaso Pobega back from loan and the Giallorossi set to sign Sergio Oliveira from Porto, they will feel that they can get the jump on their rivals and secure Frattesi’s signature soon.
