Inter defender Milan Skriniar put in a solid shift at the back to help his team to a clean sheet and a point in yesterday evening’s hard-fought away draw with Atalanta in Serie A.

As Italian news outlet L’Interista highlight, the 26-year-old’s performance at the heart of the Nerazurri’s backline was a key reason why La Dei striker Luis Muriel didn’t look too dangerous, and his display was well-received in the player ratings for the match.

The Gazzetta dello Sport awarded Skriniar a 7/10 grade for his performance, while L’Interista and the Corriere dello Sport felt that his efforts were worthy of a 6.5/10 and TuttoMercatoWeb were slightly less positive, settling on a 6/10 score.

Skriniar played in the central position in the back three rather than on the right as he has more often over the past couple seasons, but as he had in other occasions where he has filled in for Stefan de Vrij, he looked rock solid.
