Inter have made a point of securing the long-term futures of key players Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, and Alessandro Bastoni because they see the trio as the future of the team.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that building around these three players is key to the Nerazzurri’s strategy for the present as well as the long term.

Bastoni signed a contract extension taking him to the end of June 2024 at Inter last year as the club secured his future in spite of the interest of Manchester City.

Next, Barella renewed with the Nerazzurri until the end of June 2026 earlier this season, committing to the team in the long term amid the interest of European giants including Bayern Munich.

Brozovic’s contract extension looks to be up next for the Nerazzurri, with the club expected to announce the Croat’s renewal until the end of June 2026 in the coming days.

These three players are intended to be the pillars of Simone Inzaghi’s Nerazzurri team for years to come, and the club are making sure that they will be in the team to build around going forward.
