Inter-owned striker Andrea Pinamonti is enjoying his time on loan with Empoli, but he still appreciates the influence that form coach Antonio Conte had on him.

Speaking to Italian news outlet Fanpage.it, the 22-year-old hailed the importance of the former Nerazzurri coach in his development, and spoke about the experience of being part of Inter’s squad last season.

Pinamonti did not manage to carve out a regular spot for himself in the team last season, largely only appearing in short substitute appearances, but this didn’t mean that he didn’t gain anything from the experience.

The young striker was impressed with the mentality that came from being part of a title-winning squad, and of sharing a dressing room with world-class teammates and working under a well-established coach like Conte.

Even without having featured much on the pitch, Pinamonti still felt that he took a lot from his time in the Inter first team.

“You gain a different perspective from playing there,” he said of being at the Nerazzurri. “There was a match where we were ahead 1-0 at half-time but the coach and my teammates were not still happy, because they felt that we needed to do more.”

He went on that “It was a dressing room in which everyone was always looking to improve, thanks to Conte above all, he was never satisfied.”

“Although I was not among the main players on the pitch, I learned a lot and achieved a dream I’ve had since I was a child,” the young striker explained, “winning the Scudetto with Inter.”
