Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has made Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi a major transfer target, and wants to secure his signature as soon as possible.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the Nerazzurri executive is hard at work getting a deal wrapped up for the 22-year-old.

Frattesi’s form in Serie A this season for the Neroverdi after returning from a loan spell with Monza has marked him out as a target for a number of Italian clubs, and the Nerazzurri look to be the side with the keenest interest.

Marotta is increasingly convinced that Frattesi is the right player to bolster the club’s midfield next season and onward, and he does not want to waste any time on getting a deal done for the player.

Marotta is in talks with Sassuolo to get the deal done for Frattesi to avoid a potential auction for the midfielder once the summer transfer window opens.
