Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi is set to undergo is medicals with Sampdoria before completing a dry loan to the Ligurian club for the rest of the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 26-year-old will travel to Genoa for his medicals which are scheduled for today.

Inter and Sampdoria worked out an agreement on a loan move for Sensi during meetings yesterday, and the midfielder will join Marco Giampaolo’s team for the second half of the campaign.

The 26-year-old was convinced on the loan move by the prospect of regular playing time to get himself back into form, and in contention with both Inter and the Italian national team.

Sensi will not be included in the Nerazzurri’s squad for this evening’s Coppa Italia clash with Empoli, and should soon officially be a Sampdoria player for the remainder of the season.
