Inter will look to sign Sampdoria midfielder Morten Thorsby should Matias Vecino leave the club in addition to Stefano Sensi during the January transfer window.

This according to yesterday’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have identified Thorsby as their main target to bolster their midfield should they make a signing in the position.

Sensi is set for a loan to Sampdoria on a dry loan for the rest of the campaign, but the Nerazzurri could also see a player come the other way from the Blucerchiati in the form of Thorsby.

Vecino could also depart this month, with the 30-year-old’s contract set to expire at the end of June but the club also considering allowing him to leave should the right offer come along.

In the event that the Uruguayan follows Sensi out the exit door, then Inter are prepared to move for Thorsby, though it is not clear what the formula of a deal would be for the Norwegian.
