Borussia Monchengladbach look to be ready to sell Inter target Mathias Ginter during the January transfer window, but the Nerazzurri are only interested in signing him on a free transfer in the summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri will not move to buy Ginter this month if he is pushed out the exit door at Gladbach.

Ginter has announced that he will not be extending his contract with Gladbach past the end of the season, and the Nerazzurri have emerged as one of his main suitors for the end of June when his deal runs out.

However, Gladbach are now ready to cash in on the 28-year-old by selling him for a fee this month rather than allowing him to leave for free in six months’ time.

The Bundesliga side dropped Ginter from the starting eleven against Bayer Leverkusen over the weekend and are ready to listen to offers, although the Nerazzurri are not interested in moving for him until the summer.
