There is no chance that Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi will join Inter during the January transfer window unless Matias Vecino departs from the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have made Frattesi a serious target but more likely will move for him during the summer.

Inter are talks to get a deal for Frattesi wrapped up, as they see him as the right solution to reinforce their midfield with Vecino and Arturo Vidal set to leave at the end of their contracts in June.

Talks are ongoing with the Neroverdi to secure a deal for Frattesi, with the Nerazzurri hoping to bring the 22-year-old in next summer.

Inter could look to push the move for Frattesi up by six months and sign him this month should Vecino be on his way, especially with Stefano Sensi set for a loan to Sampdoria for the rest of the season.

However, they will not look to replace Sensi with Frattesi unless the Uruguayan departs.
