The chances of Inter signing Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi in January are becoming increasingly likely as everyone at the club agrees that he should be signed, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, every member of staff involved in transfers at the club is in agreement that the young Italian midfielder is the perfect player to allow Nicolo Barella more rest time in the second half of the season and replace Arturo Vidal in the long term.

He can also act as the replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu whenever the Turkish midfielder is out of form as he is known for inconsistency.

In order for Davide Frattesi to join the club in January rather than the summer, Inter will need to do a deal similar to the one Juventus did for Manuel Locatelli last summer.

It would be an 18-month loan with an agreed fee for the permanent transfer.
