Inter president Steven Zhang is expected to remain in Milan and continue attending matches until after the Champions League Round of 16 tie with Liverpool, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the Chinese businessman has been in attendance at Inter’s last few matches having travelled from China to discuss contract renewals with Inter executive as well as Marcelo Brozovic.

He was present at San Siro last night for the 3-2 Coppa Italia win over Empoli and is expected to do the same when Venezia visits Inter on Saturday evening.

He is helping to guide the club through the January transfer market but then the fixtures in February against Napoli, AC Milan, and Liverpool in the Champions League means that he is likely to stay in Italy until after that period of tough games.

Once that is over, he will fly back to China.
